NEW NOTES: Angry Youths Set Bank Ablaze

Irate youths have set a new generation bank on fire over the scarcity of the new naira note and the rejection of the old notes.

Trouble started on Wednesday February 15th 2023, when the bank customers could not access new notes.

Miffed by the attitude of the bank, the youths it was learnt first attacked the bank’s ATM machine before putting fire in the bank.

The voice of a lady who was lamenting disclosed that her money is in the bank.

“My money is in the bank, you people shouldn’t have burnt the bank.

“You people would have been patient so I could collect my money before burning it”, she said.

In same vein at Express Junction, Udu local government area of Delta State, angry youths set tyres on fire on the road to register their grievances.

A voice in the video said: “express junction, protesting the scarcity of new naira notes and the rejection of the old naira notes.

“we are hungry and we are in a cash dilemma. No new naira notes and they are rejecting the old ones.

“People cannot eat, do business, we are hungry and people are dying and they are still saying politics”, the voice lamented.
