Delta State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary, Mr. Ukah stated this in Okpanam, Oshimili north local government area, recently during the 10th year marriage anniversary of his Personal Assistant (Domestic), Mr. Anthony Adikankwu, and his wife, Mrs. Agatha.
The Commissioner, who described the couple as perfect example of how every marital union should look like, advised them to continue to strengthen their marriage through love, understanding and tolerance.
While urging them to put God first in their marriage for more success, the Basic and Secondary Education Commissioner also identified mutual understanding and respect for each other as essential ingredients that would impact positively on the survival of all marriages.
In their separate remarks, the celebrants, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Adikankwu, said that it was a thing of joy to mark the anniversary and commended Mr. Ukah for his numerous support.
Mr. Adikankwu, popularly known as Osilo, thanked the people for identifying with them, adding that the journey of marriage may not be smooth at all times but notwithstanding it is worth celebrating in all ramifications.
The occasion was attended by many Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) faithful in the area.
