The Resident Pastor of Living Faith Church, Effurun, Delta State, Pastor Adekunle Shiyanbade, has lauded Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his strides in infrastructure development across the state, while urging residents to consistently seek God’s divine direction in both personal and collective endeavors.
Delivering a sermon titled “Understanding the Benefits of Following Divine Direction” during Sunday service, Pastor Shiyanbade drew inspiration from Psalm 100:3, reminding the congregation that “we are God’s people, and we are what we are because of His grace. By Him we live, and by Him we have our being.”
The cleric prayed for peace, blessings, and continued progress in Delta State, asking God to make the state a model of excellence among its peers in Nigeria.
Quoting Isaiah 48:17, Pastor Shiyanbade emphasized that divine direction is essential for meaningful advancement in life.
“When God guides you, you experience promotion, peace, provision, protection, and fulfillment of purpose. His word turns your wilderness into greatness and makes your life flow like a spring that never fails,” he said.
According to him, divine guidance secures supernatural restoration, stress-free living, and abundant provision.
He, however, cautioned that misdirection could prove costly, likening it to “swimming against the tide,” where one misstep can ruin an entire investment.
Expounding on the Keys to Covenant Financial Fortune, Pastor Shiyanbade urged believers to be spiritually minded, uphold integrity, and commit themselves to both diligence and generosity.
“Financial fortune is not for the lazy. When you work, you earn, and whatever you lay your hands upon shall prosper. Inside the work of your hands, your blessings will flow,” he declared.
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori attended the service in the company of the Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo, alongside other top government officials.
