Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Delta State, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, OON, has declared that he has business ideas that would catapult the state into an industrial hub.
The former minister of State for education, said the state would be transformed and the much talked about Asaba Textile Mill and Sapele Floor Mill, Top Feed, Shell, Chevron, NNPC and other oil companies that have relocated out of the state, due to insecurity would return if voted into office.
The prominent gubernatorial candidate made the declaration on Monday November 21th 2022, during an interactive session with over 2000 women under the platform of Christian Woman Association in the state, held at Fame Dele Hall, Signatious Hotel, Effurun, Uvwie local government area of the state.
The largest private investor in the state, said his administration would add value to its natural resources by tapping into them, particularly clay for the production of glasses, ceramics, vehicle glasses and also generate jobs for the unemployed youths.
He urged the people to give the party, SDP their support in order to witness development that the state has never imagined.
The Criminologist said his overall plan was for Delta to become a peaceful state where investors would do business without fear.
He noted that the government would not allow its youths to go in search of opportunities in other parts of the continent, saying he would from the inception of his administration, pay N30, 000 to all unemployed youths before gainfully engaging them in various skills and offices.
