Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, has called on his kinsmen to embrace unity and collective purpose for the consolidation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the grassroots.
The federal lawmaker made the appeal on Saturday, August 30, 2025, while hosting leaders and stakeholders of Idumuje Ward 8 at his Mount Ned Resort, Idumuje-Ugboko.
Speaking at the gathering, Senator Nwoko said the meeting was convened to strengthen harmony within the ward and build a solid base for the ruling APC in line with the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He highlighted several developmental projects he had initiated in Idumuje communities, including access roads, an earth dam, school buildings, and solar-powered electricity.
He further noted his interventions in providing employment opportunities and skill acquisition programs, stressing that similar initiatives had been extended across Delta North Senatorial District.
To ensure transparency and equitable development, Senator Nwoko announced the constitution of a Project Monitoring and Implementation Committee for Ward 8, comprising Idumuje-Unor, Idumuje-Ugboko, and Aniofu.
The committee, he said, would handle needs assessment and ensure fair distribution of social amenities.
On his long-standing advocacy for the creation of Anioma State, Senator Nwoko reaffirmed his unwavering commitment, describing it as a matter of justice, equity, and identity rather than personal ambition.
“The agitation for Anioma State remains the oldest in Nigeria, dating back to 1954. Today, my enthusiasm is at its highest, with encouraging support from the Tinubu administration, the Senate, and diverse socio-cultural groups nationwide,” he stated.
He urged his constituents to remain steadfast in supporting the agitation, assuring them of his determination to see the dream realized.
Senator Nwoko also informed stakeholders that an enlarged ward meeting would be convened on Monday, September 1, 2025, to deliberate further and forge a united front.
Stakeholders present at the meeting pledged their loyalty to the APC and expressed full support for Senator Nwoko’s leadership and developmental strides.
