Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Isoko North Local Government Area Chapter has congratulated member representing Isoko North/South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko on his victory at the Appeal Court on Wednesday.
The Elections petition tribunal which sat in Asaba, had earlier nullified the victory of Ukodhiko and declared a rerun at Okpolo-Enhwe Ward 9 in Isoko South LGA.
Not satisfied with the judgement of the tribunal, Ukodhiko approached the Court of Appeal for a review of the judgement.
Delivering judgement on the Appeal, the Appellate Court on Wednesday upturned the judgement of the tribunal and declared Ukodhiko as duly elected.
In a statement by the Chairman of the party in the area Prince Godwin Ogorugba congratulated Ukodhiko on the victory adding that the victory was well deserved.
Ogorugba called on the opponents to accept the verdict of the Appeal Court and join hands with Ukodhiko to consolidate on the socio-economic and political development of the Federal Constituency.
“This is a time for us all to come together as one, putting aside all sentiments, interests and erasing all differences and work together to promote peace and unity for the overall development of the Isoko Federal Constituency.
“I therefore call on all Isoko indigenes to join hands with Ukodhiko to realise the collective dreams and aspirations of all Isoko people for the advancement of our dear Federal Constituency.”
