Impressed with his performance at the National Assembly, the Idumuje-Unor community in Aniocha North local government Area of Delta state have passed a vote of confidence in Senator Ned Nwoko.
The President General of Idumuje-Unor Patriotic Union, IPUN Pastor Azubike Nwokolo who led executive committee of the organization on a courtsey visit to Prince Ned Nwoko at Idumuje-Ugboko said he has proved outstanding since he emerged senator.
Pastor Nwokolo congratulated Senator Nwoko on behalf of the traditional ruler of Idumuje Unor,His Royal Majesty, Obi Charles Chukwuwike Anyasi III, ((JP) and the entire people of the community for his meritorious election and achievements as Senator of the federal republic of Nigeria, representing Delta North,Anioma.
The IPUN President General said the community voted massively for Prince Nwoko in the February 25, 2023 senatorial polls and noted that his foot steps so far are commendable.
He emphasised that the people of Idumuje unor “acknowledge with much admiration your numerous bills and motions on the economy, safety of Nigerians, electoral reforms, electricity, environmental sustainability, housing, water and so on, in addition to influencing an impressive N3.5 billion infrastructural projects for Delta North as contained in the 2024 appropriation.
“We are particularly happy and excited over your exalted senatorial position, being our illustrious son as Idumuje -Unor and Idumuje-Ugboko share historical bond of common genealogy”
While assuring Senator Nwoko of continued support in the service of Anioma people and Nigeria, he appealed to the federal lawmaker to help in addressing the development needs of idumuje-Unor.
He listed them as construction of Idumuje-Unor/Aniofu link road,
Idumuje Unor/Onitcha-Ugbo road,rehabilitation of Issele Uku/Idumuje Road, Oseji internal road,completion of the community civic centre initiated through self-help as well as employment opportunities for members of the community.
Also speaking the Coordinator General of Idumuje Kingdom Brain Trust, the community Think -Tank, Dr. Austin Azimonye described Senator Ned Nwoko as a pride to Idumuje-Unor, Anioma and the entire Delta.
Responding, Senator Ned Nwoko pledged to give prompt attention to the issues raised.
He said he was happy with the acclamation from his people and said he was determined to bring lasting development to Anioma and entrench national progress.
Senator Nwoko urged the people of Delta North to remain steadfast in their solidarity as he has a selfless passion to serve ,with adequate grasp of their problems and challenges.
