Thirteen days after Prince Ned Nwoko, was sworn-in as the Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly (NASS), was honoured to a rousing reception at his country home, Idemuje-Ugboko, in Aniocha north local government area of Delta State to an epic reception by his kinsmen, politicians, friends and top functionaries of the state government on Sunday June 18th 2023.
Crowd received Prince Nwoko in Idumuje-Ugboko, who was dressed in white native with a red cap to match, as human movement literally stood still at the Community shortly after his arrival from Abuja, through the Asaba International airport in company of a litany of politicians, including his wife and popular Nollywood actress, Reginal Daniels and their son.
His entourage could not disembark on arrival because of the mammoth crowd, as not only the villagers, but political associates and friends flooded his country home.
The State governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Barr. Arthur Akpowowo, were present to honour the STAR Prince, with their presence.
Also, the State chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Olorogun Kingsley Esiso, the Dein of Agbor Kingdom, Obi Ikenchukwu Keagburekuzi, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru, attended the ceremony.
The occasion witnessed various traditional rulers from Delta north including the member representing Aniocha North State Constituency, Engr. Emeka Nwaobi and the Senior Political Adviser to the governor, Senator Emmanuel Aguariavwodo among others.
The edifice was a beehive of activities as his admirers poured into the compound to cash the glimpse of the billionaire with a corresponding love for his people.
Speaking earlier, Senator Nwoko expressed appreciation to the Anioma nation for electing him.
He thanked all for coming to celebrate with him on his successful inauguration.
He said he would work with the Federal Government to dredge the River Niger in order to solve the problem of erosion which has continued to endanger communities, lives and property in recent times.
