A member-elect, Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), for Ughelli North State Constituency I, Hon. Barr. Matthew Omonade, has released the sum of N700, 000 for constituents vocational training.
The member-elect who won the March 18th 2023 election under the All Progressives Congress (APC), said that the empowerment of the people remained the only panacea against poverty.
Omonade, who harped on the need to ensure that the circle of poverty among Deltans is broken permanently, stressed that capacity building among the constituents and the provision of self-sufficient economic empowerment programmes would eliminate the tensed atmosphere in the State.
The first-timer House of Assembly lawmaker made the disclosure on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Igbuku Orogun Ughelli north local government area of the State at the baby dedication of the daughter of Ada Omoyoma.
The astute lawyer believes that the central idea of political leadership is impacting on humanity and society.
While this may be elusive in some quarters, Barr. Omonade, is fully prepared to impact lives.
As an empathetic and visionary young man, Omonade believes that politics is an opportunity to serve the people selflessly with all available resources.
He has consistently demonstrated this rare self-sacrificing, philanthropism in all the stages of his life as a conscious adult, long before his journey into politics. Politics, to him, is an opportunity to do more.
