The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has reaffirmed his commitment to creating a conducive working environment for lawmakers and staff of the State Legislature.
During an inspection of ongoing rehabilitation work at the administrative building of the Assembly Complex on Okpanam Road, Asaba, on Thursday, Rt. Hon. Guwor expressed satisfaction with the resolution of the long-standing issues surrounding the central cooling system.
He was accompanied by the Clerk of the House, Mr. Otto Aghoghophia, management staff, and labor union leaders.
In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker emphasized that the rehabilitation project extends beyond physical repairs, aiming to establish a workplace that promotes productivity, collaboration, and effective governance.
“As we work towards the development of Delta State, it’s crucial that our infrastructure aligns with our goals.
“This rehabilitation is a step in the right direction, and I look forward to its positive impact on our work,” Guwor said.
The Speaker commended the staff for their patience during the repairs and urged them to remain focused and committed to improving productivity.
Staff members expressed gratitude for the Speaker’s leadership in addressing critical infrastructure issues, noting the significant improvements in their working environment.
