GUBER POLL: Igbo Traders Promise Massive Votes For SDP Gov’ship Candidate In Delta

Igbo traders at the market in Lower Erediuwa Motor Spare Parts Association (LESPA) in Deco Road, Warri, Delta State, have pledged that they would come out en masse and cast their ballots for the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), His Excellency, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi in the March 11th 2023, governorship election.

They gave the assurance when they hosted their colleague and largest private investor in the State, Olorogun Gbagi, on Tuesday March 7th 2023.

According to them, their support for the SDP gubernatorial candidate in the election would ensure that he replicate what he was able to do in his private business life with state resources as governor of the oil-rich State.

Leader of the Igbo traders, Chief Emeka Odili, gave the assurance at a meeting between the traders and Gbagi.

He disclosed that Igbo traders are beneficiaries of several economic reforms initiated by Gbagi, with his business malls where the Igbos and several Delta youths have shops for trading and being able to put food on their tables.

Chairman of the spare parts market, said Gbagi has the capacity and competence to transform the state for the good of all residents as he has done same with his personal capacity.

“We need capable people to be governor. We are tired of same people leading this state. We know what you can do. You always tell people the truth. We need you in the government house. We will vote for you.”

They pledge their unflinching loyalty and support to Gbagi, noting that they have started sensitizing and mobilizing their co-traders and their families to come out en masse to vote for the industrialist come March 11th.

Gbagi, a renowned Criminologist, also visited the Spare Parts Unity Market, at Ugbosu Keke Market in Effurun, Uvwie local government area of the state, where he was assured of their support and votes.

In his response, Gbagi expressed gratitude to the traders for supporting his gubernatorial ambition.

He said he would build 3 Igbo mega cities for trading and would be delivered to them by the end of June.

The entrepreneurial expert said that he was committed to establishing a business-friendly environment in the state so that traders in other parts of the world would join those in the State to continue to do their businesses with ease.

Hear him: “Your leadership is good. I do not know how to tell lies. Many of us are from Lagos. The economy of Lagos is owned by Igbos. I want to thank you for the love Igbos demonstrated for Obi last Saturday.

“This great Delta is owned by all of us. I am not comfortable that after so many years you are still in this place doing your business. I will build Igbo mega city in Delta state.

“I want to beg you. I will develop Ibo business hub in this state. I believe Ibos do not tell lies. You should get ready to leave this place when I become governor.

“I am a business man before I became a politician. I want to develop the state in a way that Ibos everywhere will come to Delta state and do business. I need you to develop this state.

“All we need from you is that what you did for Obi across the country, do it for me and SDP in Delta. Let’s be wise in our votes. If all of you vote for SDP, we have won the election.

“Let us bring Delta to its past glory. It’s only with industry we can transform Delta state”.

He urged the traders to vote for SDP to enable him raise the bar in the development of the state.
