A formidable pressure group in the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) known as Ewu Political Parliament, has congratulated the governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori on his victory at the just concluded tribunal.
The group headed by multiple Chief Ovis Uto, in a congratulatory message to the governor on Friday September 29th 2023, he personally signed and made available to journalists, noted that Governor Oborevwori ran on competence and track records.
He said his emergence as the winner of the Saturday’s March 18th governorship election in the state and subsequent victory at the tribunal was not a fluke.
He said the victory is a reaffirmation of confidence by Deltans in Oborevwori’s administration in the state.
Chief Uto, a respected PDP Chieftain, said the plethora of milestones Oborevwori has recorded as the helmsman in the state in the last few months, has endeared the people to opt for him and reaffirmed by the tribunal.
He said, “Governor Oborevwori’s victory no doubt is a reaffirmation that he enjoys a deep-rooted confidence of the people whom he has served in the past six years as Speaker of the State House of Assembly and now governor.
“He is a clear testimony to the fact that PDP parades the best governors who have gone ahead to demonstrate capacity, character and competence in the State.
“It is our hope that His Excellency, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori will record more beautiful milestones in infrastructural transformation, education, economic, sports, housing and transportation system revitalization”.
He also commended the PDP, legal team, party faithful and teeming supporters for the support, saying it has yielded the need result.
