A political pressure group, E.K. Clark Solidarity For Okowa, has agreed to confer on Delta State frontline governorship hopeful, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, its National Patron.
The letter conveying the conferment on the prominent gubernatorial aspirant, dated 8th October 2021, revealed that he was chosen due to his continued support for the incumbent governor of the state, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, to finish even stronger.
The letter was signed by the National Chairman, Barr. Sir Simeon Efenudu, Leader, Delta South, High Chief Mike Osige, JP, the Secretary, Comrade Lucky Edoh and others respectively.
The group equally disclosed that the choice of Olorogun Gbagi, went through due and rigorous consultation with the membership and leadership of the group, affirmed by the National Leader/Elder Statesman, Chief (Dr) E.K. Clark, an Ijaw national leader.
According to the letter, “Our collective decision was based on your sterling leadership quality, loyalty and commitment in the PDP, your uncommon support for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, to succeed”.
It further stated “Your great philanthropy and your numerous efforts in transforming the youths, women and the poorest of the poor from poverty to self-sustenance across the State”.
The group said Gbagi’s generosity amongst others informed their collective decision to confer on the industrialist cum criminologist the award of “National Patron E.K. Clark for Okowa”.
The letter reads in part: “We are pleased to inform you that after due consultation with the stratum membership/leadership of the above group and with the affirmation of our National Leader/Elderstatesman, Chief (Dr.) E.K. Clark OFR, CON, it is our pleasure to inform you that we are conferring on you the position of national patron of the E.K. Clark Solidarity for Okowa”.
Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, may be a good man to fly the flag of PDP in the 2023 gubernatorial election as described, but the Idjerhe Kingdom being his motherland can never attest to the good of him.
We the Idjerhe Youth want to see the good of Gbagi in our lives, Idjerhe Youths recently demanded Toyota Sienna Buses from him to encourage the security team who brought peace to the Kingdom today, and some other individuals who need his financial support to champion their various businesses in the Kingdom. With these, we his mother people can pledge our total support for him.
Finally, he should stop arrogance by ignoring people’s call with the mind of segregation and discrimination, to make the statement clearly, He should take every human as important.
