In what is being widely celebrated as a resounding vote of confidence and a masterstroke of administrative wisdom, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has entrusted the direct supervision of the highly anticipated Okpanam-Ugbolu Road project to none other than Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza, the indefatigable Commissioner for Special Duties, Government House.
This landmark decision has sent waves of excitement across Oshimili North, as the people laud the government’s responsiveness and Dr. Osuoza’s rising profile as a dependable force in Delta State’s development architecture.
This was disclosed by his counterpart in the ministry of Works (rural and Riverine Roads), Mr. Charles Aniagwu, during a post exco briefing held in Asaba, the State Capital, recently.
The approval of the Okpanam-Ugbolu Road, which will seamlessly connect the growing urban community of Okpanam with the agricultural-rich hub of Ugbolu, is not just an infrastructural win, it is a historic lifeline that promises to transform local commerce, ease mobility, and significantly boost the economic vitality of the area.
And at the heart of this transformation is Dr. Osuoza, a man whose name has become synonymous with integrity, innovation, and tireless service to the people.
Known for his sharp intellect, unshakable discipline, and unmatched passion for grassroots development, Dr. Osuoza has once again been called to action, this time, to oversee a legacy project that will define the socio-economic future of Oshimili North.
It’s a strategic choice by the governor, underscoring the trust reposed in Osuoza’s capacity to deliver with precision and excellence.
The Works Commissioner who oversees the ministry of Information, as Commissioner for Public Information said: “This is not just another road. It is a gateway to opportunities for thousands of families.
Aniagwu said: “We approved the construction of Okpanam/Ugbolu road in Oshimili North.
That one is also a big one for the people of Oshimili to be able to link up Ugbolu straight to Okpanam.
And the governor have directed that this particular project be supervised by the Commissioner for Special Duties, Government House”.
His Excellency the Governor believes that with Dr. Osuoza on the project, quality, speed, and transparency are assured.”
From the streets of Okpanam to the farming belts of Ugbolu, excitement is palpable.
Market women, youths, transporters, and community leaders have all hailed the move, describing it as “a divine alignment of leadership and vision.”
Indeed, Dr. Osuoza is not new to results. A political strategist, a scholar, and a passionate Deltan, his hands-on approach and quiet but effective leadership style have earned him accolades across the state.
Under his watch, the Special Duties portfolio has been anything but ceremonial, it has become a powerful engine room for delivering the Governor’s MORE agenda.
As bulldozers prepare to roll in and construction gets underway, one thing is certain: with Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza at the helm, the Okpanam-Ugbolu Road project is in safe hands.
Delta is rising and so is Dr. Osuoza.
