Having closely monitored governorship elections in Delta State, the leadership of Afrovision Concept, comprising Nollywood Filmmakers and Actors, has endorsed His Excellency, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, as its preferred candidate for the governorship election, slated for March 11th this year.
President of Afrovision Concept, led by Mr. Frickson Gbagbeke, said they arrived at the decision after a thorough analysis, investigations, interviews with the electorate across the State, disclosing that the endorsement is hinged on plethora of evidence, all pointing to the antecedents and track records of Gbagi, in contrast to other candidates.
Afrovision Concept, comprising elderly men and women, boys and girls endorsed Gbagi, on Tuesday March 7th, 2023, at his Oginibo sprawling mansion in Ughelli south local government area of the State.
Gbagi, has come strong not only as a defender and champion of Urhobo people, Delta Central in particular but his records when he was the former minister of state for education showcased the nationalist streak in him as the series of educational infrastructure, and his patriotic service to Nigeria have put him ahead of others.
It’s only in the best tradition that the cap should go to the fittest.
A man who has identified with his people when he had no power, fought their battle and championed their cause should be considered first in the distribution of power, for in giving him a mandate, he will do more. Don’t trust a man who has never stood by you.
This is exactly the temper and tempo of feelings of the Deltans, going by series of interaction with the people, Gbagi is the man to beat.
According to Afrovision Concept president, Gbagi, has the competence to translate his electioneering promises to tangible achievements and developmental strides in the State.
He disclosed that he was in the compound to endorse the largest employer of labour in the State with his over 5000 members.
He added that the endorsement of Gbagi, as the next governor of Delta State was a unanimous agreement with the entire group.
While addressing the group, the politician par excellence, said his administration would give the entertainment industry priority as he would harness it for the betterment of the State.
He assured the group predominantly youths that he would make 10 youths as members of his cabinet.
He disclosed that the State is the richest in Nigeria and richer than 42 independent countries in the world, stressing that the entertainment industry would boom, as it would create jobs for the teeming youths.
He assured he would drag the entertainment industry seriously into his government.
