FULANI JIHADISTS: Heavy Security Presence In Asaba, Agbor

Following the expiration of the 72 hours ultimatum on Tuesday June 15th 2021, given to the Delta state governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, to attack Asaba, the Delta state capital and Agbor by the Fulani Jihadists who threatened to cause severe consequences if the state governor, failed to withdraw his position on open grazing, the police have beefed up heavy security in both cities.

In Asaba, police officers are positioned in strategic locations stopping and searching every vehicle and tricycle on the road.

At the popular Stop Abortion Junction, along Ibusa road, the well prepared officers takes time to conduct search before allowing them with their occupants to continue their journey.

Also, at Pasture of Life Junction, there are heavy presence of security operatives mounting the road, ensuring that the Fulani Jihadists does not make do with their promise.

The federal secretariat, along Okpanam and Mariam Babangida way is not left out.

Nerves have calm down over the tension raised by the threat but the State Commissioner of Police, Ari Mohammed Ali, had urged Deltans to go about their lawful businesses as the police are on top of the matter.

It would be recall that the “This is to inform Delta state that the Fulani’s of Usman Dan Fodio leadership, shall do everything it can to uphold the legacy of our heritage of open grazing for we are nomadic people from origination and shall never negotiate the ownership of Nigeria and West Africa and Sub-Sahara.

“We hereby demand the governor of Delta state to immediately withdraw his early stand for the call to barn open grazing in 17 regions in not less than 72hours from the above date and also, withdraw his position as the leading voice for the governors, as no occurrence we don’t have the first-hand information, even before the hosting of the South-south, South-east and South-south governors meeting in Asaba.

The threat, reads in part: “Failure to adhere to this demand for been the host of the 17 governors, Delta state, most likely the city of Asaba and Agbor, shall encounter severe consequences than that of Bornu, Kebbi, Kastina, Kaduna, Enugu, Benue, Oyo and many more that will not respect the Fulani’s heritage, as we take responsibility for the detonate explosive uncovered in the state capital secretariat, which should serve as warning to the Delta state government for what is to come, should the governor fail to abide to our demand”.
