The charge was given Thursday by the political titan and former Governor of the state, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, who lauded the honesty of the Okada Operator, Mr. Augustine Ogun, the Oghara born motorcyclist for returning the missing N700, 000 to its owner barely two weeks ago.
Ibori, in his goodwill message delivered by the Senior Special Assistant to the Delta state Governor, Prince Charles Abutoh, during a programme organized in honour of Augustine Ogun said: “I am indeed overwhelmed with joy on the news from home on the exemplary display of integrity of Mr Augustine Ogun.
“It is even more pleasing that Mr Augustine Ogun is a motorcycle rider with compelling need for money to survive in these harsh economic times”. “He has not betrayed his personality as a worthy son of Oghara kingdom”.
The former Governor however called on other Nigeria youths to emulate the life of honesty of being ones brothers keeper, at all times, as Augustine Ogun.
Chief Emmanuel Ighomena, chairman of the occasion, who doubled as the chairman of the Oghara Advancement foundation in his joyous mood said Augustine Ogun have once again changed the narrative of what naysayers says about the integrity of Oghara people, “We are delighted to be associated with a man of unparalleled integrity in the person of Augustine Ogun”.
Orefefe III, Uku Oghara Na’me Ovie of Oghara kingdom, Ogharefe Ogudeion, Dr. Onome Ogueh, Chief Festus Ganiga, and Chief Adenze Aguwa from New Jersey, among others delivered their goodwill messages to extol the uncommon virtues of integrity of the 51 years old, Oghara born Good Samaritan.
Mr. Augustine Ogun, however commended people from all works of life across the globe who have immensely contributed to his life through prayers and gifts ever since the news of how he returned his passenger N700, 000 went viral.
The high point of the occasion was the presentation of souvenir and gifts items to Mr Augustine Ogun by Chief Emmanuel Ighomena behalf of the Oghara Advancement Foundation.
Secretary of Oghara Advancement Foundation, Hon. Moses Ogbe in his closing remarks commended Avwerosuoghene Iyah, for his unrelenting effort in putting the Augustine Ogun’s story on the spotlight of news media all across the globe.
