The Fix Aniocha North Movement, a Non-Governmental Organization, has reiterated its commitment to the development and advancement of Aniocha north local government area of Delta State.
The National Leader and Coordinator of the movement, Mr. Emeke Okwechime, made this known during a familiarization visit to traditional rulers in the region.
During his visits to various communities, including Issele-Uku, Ezi, and Issele-Azagba, Mr. Okwechime highlighted the setbacks suffered by the local government due to economic hardship and lack of responsive leadership.
He emphasized that the movement aims to address hunger, suffering, hardship, and poverty while tackling other economic challenges affecting the area.
Outlining several impactful and achievable programs, Mr. Okwechime assured that the movement is dedicated to changing the lives of the people for the better.
Among the key initiatives is a Farmers Assistance Program, designed to support local farmers with improved seedlings, farming equipment, pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, and easier access to farm loans.
He further revealed plans for a Community Development Trust Fund, structured to benefit all 18 villages and communities.
The fund will be chaired by the Obi or a trusted representative, with the community PG as Secretary, the youth leader as Financial Secretary, and a non-partisan community woman leader as Treasurer.
On security matters, Mr. Okwechime assured that the movement has put in place the best strategies to ensure the safety of the area.
He called on all stakeholders to support the vision of the Fix Aniocha North Movement for the collective well-being of the people.
The Obi of Issele-Uku, Obi Nduka Ezeagwuna II, the Obi of Ezi, Obi Mohanye I, and the Obi of Issele-Azagba, Obi Timothy Tobechukwu Jidouioa, commended the movement’s foresight and initiative, pledging their support for its success.
