A yet to be identified secondary school student, was captured on camera coming out of a hotel in Asaba, the Delta State capital.
A post on Concern Parents & Educators Network, a Facebook page, by one EkemNgo Ngozi, disclosed that the female student allegedly from West End Secondary School, Asaba, was caught on camera by Samson Nwachukwu, Barr Ajuebor Favour and a nurse, whose identity was not disclosed.
According to the post, when the school authority was approached, they were quoted to have said: “Their student was in that hotel after school hours and there is nothing they can do”.
According to the post, the female student alongside others who were not caught were purportedly in the hotel for commercial sex activities on ‘Shirt time service”.
Meanwhile, commentators on the post, have called on the state government, particularly, the ministry of Secondary Education, to act swiftly and lay its sledge hammer on the hotel.
At press time, efforts to get across to the Commissioner, Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu, for comments, failed.
But a source in the ministry who pleaded anonymity said, investigation would be carried out to ascertain the veracity of the allegation.
