Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has secretly appointed Jackson Ekwugum as Manager Communications, Government House, Asaba, The Story can authoritatively report.
Investigation revealed that Ekwugum, had been given his appointment letter and has since resumed work as Manager Communications to Oborevwori.
Ekwugum, served as Manager Communications to the immediate past administration, led by Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for eight years.
The appointment was kept from public notice, to avoid criticism as his appointment letter was not announced like in the case of others.
It was learnt that Ekwugum, is a strong ally of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Kingsley Emu, who recommended him for Okowa.
He is equally from the same local government area with the governor.
A source said it’s possible that the SSG, may have recommended him to Oborevwori, for appointment.
Another source who confirmed that Ekwugum, had since resumed work, however argued that a confirmation letter has not been given to him.
The source said Ekwugum, was hired to carry out the job of the Manager Communications but not on appointment basic.
