Facts have emerged on how the governorship candidate on the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Delta State and former minister of State for education, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, played major role in the emergence of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, as governor in 2015 and 2019 respectively.

Gbagi, said there was no way Okowa, would have won the 2015 and 2019 governorship elections without his support.

Gbagi, who said Okowa, would handover to him as the State governor come 2023, made the claim on Sunday August 7th 2022, while addressing Archbishop Iboyi Godday and members of Promise Kingdom Ministries, otherwise known as Overflow in Sapele local government area of the state.

He revealed that the Urhobo nation rejected Okowa and opted for Chief Great Ovedje Ogbpru, until Okowa raced to him in company of the present Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Delta Central Senatorial District candidate, Senator Ighoyoya Amori at his Oginibo country home in Ughelli south local government area of the state.

It would be recall that Gbagi, has informed Deltans and Nigerians that he would soon speak on his seven years relationship with Okowa, that would shake the foundation of the state and county.
