Former Commissioner for Technical Education and founder, King Jesus and I Ministry, Rt. Hon. Pastor Joan Onyemaechi, has been received by her people and admirers across the state in Ubulu-Uku, Aniocha south local government area of Delta State.

It was a carnival like display with various placards as thousands of Ubulu-Uku people trooped out and barricaded her convoy with shout of jubilation and pouring of powder on their bodies and her car as a mark of celebration and in solidarity

One of the placards reads: “Ada Anioma, Our Pride”, amongst others while the scriptural reading was taken from Psalm 116:1-14.

Operatives of the Nigerian Police Force, Federal Road Safety Corps, local vigilante were on the ground to provide security and to maintain peace and order.

This is just as Ada Anioma who is a strong female political heavyweight in the State, expressed joy over a new Ubulu-Uku, following the prayers and show of love while she was in the den of her kidnappers.

The outpour of love, on Monday September 2, 2024, forced her out of her car as she join her people to walk, dancing, waving and exchanging pleasantries with supporters.

The solidarity march congregated at Issele-Uku Junction in Ubulu-Uku, where the Obi-in-Council and Ubulu-Uku elders erected an alter of prayer for her in the ten days she spent with her abductors before she was released from captivity.

The people of the state from across the nine local government areas in Delta north and beyond, stormed the venue as early as 9:00am to welcome the educationist in appreciation of her return home.

The venue of the prayer was jam packed with interdenominational worshippers, from Catholic faith, Anglican, Pentecostal and others.

Also, women, men, youth, the Obi-in-Council were not left out, as they all poured out in their large number to rejoice with one of their own.

This marks her second public appearance after she went to Church for a Special thanksgiving service on Sunday September 1, 2024, at Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Mega Regional headquarters in Asaba, the State capital.

Addressing the mammoth crowd in their dialect mixed with English, Pastor Onyemaechi, fondly addressed as Ada Anioma by her teeming supporters, appreciated the people for their love for her and prayed that the kingdom , Ubulu Clan remains one united family.

She charged the people not to allow enemies of progress and Ubulu-Uku to come in-between them as the clan has come to stay political and economically.

The former House of Representatives member for Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, who was dressed in white, said unless God gives a man a position whoever promised him (the man) the position, was wasting his/her time.

“The position God cannot give you, no man can give you. That position, no matter how you want it, if God does not want you there, he will put Caterpillar before your way.

“That is, if he likes you. If He wants the person to be like Pharaoh, he will not put the Caterpillar, he will allow you to go.

“The small money you saved, you will spend it. No matter how you want it, He will stop you because that is not the time”.

The political juggernaut urged her people to forgive one another, saying, “politics is about patience. The moment that God raised me, it has been from one benefit to the community to another

She disclosed that the Chairman of the Council who is her brother became chairman 20 years after Ubulu Clan held other political positions in the Council.

Elated Rt. Hon. Onyemaechi, who could not hide her feelings, thanked her people of Ubulu-Uku, who took to social media handles to pray earnestly for her return, “i wasn’t sure if this was Ubulu-Uku. I saw prayers, different people were praying”, saying she didn’t know that she was loved this much by her people.

She disclosed that she got calls from everywhere telling her how her people held series of chain prayers for her return, “at a point I just said Lord, thank you for the new Ubulu-Uku. This is the new Ubulu-Uku “, she said repeatedly.

Moved by the show of love, she went round the crowd greeting them, ” Ubulu dalu ni”, Chukwu gozie unu”.

The former Director General, Delta State Capital Territory Development Authority, harped on the need for patience and loyalty in politics as political leaders were watching keenly on followers and would be recommended in due course just as she said no office should be looked down on or relegated.

“The leaders in politics know when things don’t favour you, they watch whether you will start abusing everybody or you will remain calm. At the point that you will remain calm, they will also come back for you”.

Ada Anioma, who equally represented Aniocha south in the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), appreciated the other two clans, Ogwashi and Nsukwa for the support and prayers during her trying moment.

In his closing remarks, Chairman of the Council, Pastor Jude Chukwunweike, full of joy, appreciated God for the release of his sister, the Obi-in-Council and the people of Ubulu-Uku for standing by them in their darkest moment.

He equally thanked them for voting for him in the last local government election.

He promised them that the council would witness unprecedented development in his second tenure.
