In the spirit of the Christmas celebration, Evang. June Odika has showered love and gifts to widows in Issele-Uku, at the Issele-Uku Royal Palace.

This annual ritualwhich was carried out on 24th December 2020, is borne out of the covenant the Minister of God said she entered into with God to yearly bring joy to widows in her hometown during Christmas season when not too many would ordinarily remember those without husbands.

In spite of the Covid-19 pandemic and devastating economic crunch, Evang. June Odika was able to share quarter bags of rice, wrappers, tomato pastes and other ingredients to well over 250 widows under the umbrella of Widows for Christ and of course those who usually gate crash but are known unregistered widows under the platform.

In the same humanitarian spirit, she invited the children of late Mr and Mrs. Joseph Babundo to partake in the benevolence, showing them love in the absence of their parents.

June Odika, daughter of the late popular and renowned General Overseer of the Church of Faith Bible Ministry Int’l, said that God has been faithful, adding that ever since taking up this instruction from God, she had not missed the programme every 24th of December.

The London/Nigerian based woman of God affirmed that it is no longer uncommon knowledge that this year 2020 came with lots of challenges occasioned by the Covid-19 pandemic, which drastically affected the economy of the world.

However, she stressed that in spite of these devastating economic hiccups, she was able to do much more for widows this year, by providing them with quality wrappers and having their rice gifts bigger and well packaged.

Her words, “God never fails; He cannot fail at all. I have tested Him and I can boldly testify anytime and any day.

“This journey of yearly and monthly empowering of widows under my foundation has been awesome. The way God provides for me, I don’t know. But all I know is that He has given me the grace, capacity and well withal to achieve this feat every year that comes.

“I sincerely praise Him because this project has opened my eyes to the reality of the pains women without husbands and pillars of the home face. Apart from doing this on every 24th of December, we host the women every month through our outreach fellowship where we meet their other needs like trade empowerments, medicare services and other tokens of support.

“I appreciate the Pastors and Executive members helping to run the foundation on my behalf, the Agbogidi Obi Nduka of Issele-Uku, my mother, siblings, my daughter Favour and too many others helping and supporting one way or the other to always see to the success of this yearly/monthly project, may God bless you all”, Evang. Odika stated.

This year’s edition of the reach out to Widows for Christ was awesome as the Issele-Uku Royal Palace was agog with women who usually have reasons to smile home from June Odika’s benevolence.

One major focus of this project is getting people closer to God and bringing salvation to many. Usually, praise and worship is done and then The Word which exposes the personality of God to every broken heart in the interest of restoring hope and faith in God alone.
