Ejele In Tears Over Collosal Defeat Suffered To Onowakpo Of APC

The National Chairman of Delta Political Vanguard (DPV) and Delta South Senatorial District candidate under the platform of the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Evangelist Michael Diden, fondly addressed as Ejele, has suffered from a political onslaught from his opponent in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Joel Onowakpo Thomas.

The former chairman of Delta State Board of Internal Revenue (DBIR), beats Ejele and the candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Commodore Omatseye Nesiama (retd) to emerge as Senator-elect for Delta South Senatorial District of the state.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), declared APC candidate winner of Delta South Senatorial election done on Saturday.

Declaring Joel-Thoma Onowakpo winner, the Returning Officer for Delta South Senatorial election, Prof Peretimina Anthony, said that the APC candidate polled a total of 49, 955 votes while his closest rival, Hon. Michael Diden of the People’s Democratic Party got 47,656 votes.

Prof Peretimina, declared Joe-Onowakpo Thomas as duly elected Senator-elect at the collation centre in Otobo Hall in Oleh, Isoko South local government area of the State.
