The member representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in the House of Representative, Rt. Hon. Ngozi Okolie, has extended warm greetings and a call for reflection on the deeper values of the season as Muslims in Nigeria and across the globe mark the celebration of Eid al-Adha.

In a goodwill message released on Friday June 6, 2025, Hon. Okolie described Eid al-Adha as a sacred time for reflection, sacrifice, and renewed commitment to faith and community, drawing inspiration from the legacy of Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering obedience and trust in God.

“This season reminds us of the power of sacrifice and the strength of devotion,” he stated.

“These values continue to resonate across religious and cultural lines, and they offer guidance in navigating the complex challenges of our nation.”

While wishing Muslims a peaceful and joyous celebration, the lawmaker also used the opportunity to call for greater civic responsibility and leadership accountability.

“I urge Muslim faithful not only to celebrate, but to embody the values of justice and sacrifice by holding leaders accountable and standing firm against division, corruption, and complacency,” he said.

Hon. Okolie reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive representation and nation-building, expressing hope that the lessons of Eid would inspire all Nigerians to act in the collective interest of a better and more equitable society.

He concluded his message by wishing Muslims and their families a blessed Eid filled with peace, joy, and prosperity, saying, “May the spirit of sacrifice and devotion guide us all, always.”

Happy Eid al-Adha Mubarak.
