Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has called on Christians to seize the season of the Easter celebration to beseech God on the challenges of insecurity and economic woes facing the nation.
Okowa, who is currently eyeing the presidency come 2023, said on his verified Facebook page, that the season should be used to pray for God’s Intervention on the country.
Hear him: “Today, as we celebrate Easter, as Christians, we must reflect on the significance of this commemoration in our daily lives.
“I call on all Christians to go to God in prayer to heal our country from the insecurity and economic challenges.
“I urge all Nigerians to extend the spiritual benefits of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, which include love, peace, justice, sacrifice, and kindness, to one another, especially in these trying times.
“May the lessons and blessings of Easter help us to overcome the challenges bedeviling our beloved country”, just as he wished all Christians, “Happy Easter to you and yours”.
