The candidate of Accord Party (AP) in the just concluded Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), Hon. Revd Udumebraye Dave Osiobe, has congratulated the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) candidate at Saturday’s March 18th election, Hon. Festus Utuama, on his victory at the poll.
Hon. Rev’d Osiobe, who said the victory deserved commendation as a result of Utuama’s resilience having won, advised the member-elect to see his victory as a higher call to service.
He appreciated God Almighty who he ascribed all the glory to, for His awesomeness and faithfulness in keeping a peaceful atmosphere among all the candidates and electorate in the just concluded Governorship and House of Assembly elections.
According to him, the Hon. Revd Udumebraye Dave Osiobe, candidate of Accord Party in the just concluded House of Assembly election, congratulates his counterpart, Hon. Engr. Festus Eseoghene Utuama, candidate of the People’s Democratic Party whom by the grace of God is the winner of the election.
Osiobe described Utuama as a well seasoned leader and advocate for good governance.
“Festus Utuama has served as a one time DESOPADEC Commissioner representing the U3 Constituencies (Ughelli South, North and Udu Constituencies), history also have it that Hon. Utuama won on fourth attempt”.
Revd Osiobe further stated that his victory at the polls is a victory for all, trusting God Almighty to enable him secure the right policies and the right infrastructural development to Ughelli South Constituency that would be shared across the three Axis of the Constituency, which include Ewhu Axis, Olomu Axis and Ughievwen Axis.
He said Ughelli South Constituency is backward in terms of development ranging from Banking Educational sectors and Human capital development among others.
Hon Revd Osiobe, called on all the Ughelli South House of Assembly candidates to put all sentiments outside and embrace the winner Hon. Utuama with love and their full support for him to serve his constituents effectively.
He also advise the member-elect to create a platform to bring all the candidates together irrespective of political affiliation, saying with all their joint efforts and assistance Ughelli South Constituency would take a rapid change in good development in no distant time.
He noted that before, during and after election all the candidates and their supporters were and are still sons and daughters of Ughelli South.
Osiobe further charged the House of Assembly member-elect, to see himself as a ladder for others in Ughelli South to climb to the top, so that we would have our brothers and sisters in different commissions and ministries serving in different capacities in the government.
Rev’d Osiobe, thanked God Almighty for the journey so far and also appreciated the Osiobe Campaign Movement family for their total commitment and unwavering support all through out the race.
