“Don’t Allow Miscreants Attack You”, DIG Warn Police Officers

“Never again should you fold your hands and allow miscreants to come and attack you”, the Deputy Inspector General of Police, South-south zone, Moses Ambakina Jitoboh, has said.

DIG Jitoboh, who doubles as the Theater Commander, Operation Restore Peace gave the charge when he paid visit to the Delta State Command recently.

Addressing men and officers of the Command, DIG Jitoboh, of the Department of Research and Planning, disclosed that the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, has directed all Deputy Inspectors of Police ( DIG’S) of the various geopolitical zones to go round their zones and boost the morale of the men, pointing out that he was at the Command to carry out the order.

According to a release by the Ag. Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Edafe Bright, on Saturday June 5th 2021, noted: “The slogan “NEVER AGAIN” was echoed by all officers and was indeed a big morale booster to the confidence of the men, which signals and end to the killings of police officers and burning down of police facilities and public properties”.

He advised officers to be proactive, beware of their environment at all times just as the image maker, stated that DIG Jitoboh had an emotional and soul searching lecture with officers and men of the command.

He assured all that modalities has been put in place to ensure that the welfare of the police is improved, and that the IGP is determined to see that police officers in the country are motivated.

Officers present to welcome the DIG includes the AIG Zone 5 Headquarter, Benin City, AIG Isaac Akinmoyede, the Commissioner of Police Delta state command CP Ari Muhammed Ali, Officers and men of the command.

The Commissioner, Ali, seized the opportunity to extend the command profound gratitude to the Inspector General of Police IGP Baba, who deemed it necessary to deploy personnel to the command during this present predicament through operation restore peace.

He said the men deployed have in no small way added to the security architecture of the state.
