The Delta State Sports Commission has officially unveiled the Delta Queens squad for the 2025/2026 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) season, marking a significant step as the league prepares to kick off this weekend.
Speaking during the presentation ceremony in Asaba, the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Hon. Onoriode Oborevwori, reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to strengthening women’s football and ensuring the team receives all necessary support for a successful campaign.
Hon. Oborevwori praised the Delta Queens as a “symbol of pride, resilience, and excellence,” noting that their accomplishments continue to inspire a new generation of female athletes across the state.
With the new NWFL season set to commence on November 26, 2025, Delta Queens will begin their campaign with a crucial away match against Nasarawa Amazons, a fixture expected to set the tone for a highly competitive season.
