Delta Speaker Guwor, Mourns Death Of Prof. Utuama

Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Dennis Emomotimi Guwor, Saturday, joined other well meaning Deltans to mourn the demise of a former Deputy Governor in the state, Prof Amos Agbe Utuama.

Rt Hon Guwor said the passing of Prof Utuama leaves a void in his heart and many others, particularly the leadership of Delta State and the People’s Democratic Party, PDP family in the state.

The Speaker in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Nkem Nwaeke, condoled with the Member Representing Ughelli South in the State Legislature, Hon Festus Utuama, the immediate family of late Prof Utuama, the Ughievwen kingdom and the government and people of Ughelli South local government for the lost of the former Deputy Governor who died at the age of 78.

Guwor pointed out that as a former deputy governor, Prof Utuama demonstrated unwavering commitment to Delta State’s progress, stressing that his legacy, marked by dedication and wisdom, will forever inspire many people, particularly in the legal and political arenas.

The Speaker recalled the tireless efforts of the late Professor of Law in promoting socio-economic development in Delta State between 2007 and 2015, when he served as deputy governor to Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan.

While stressing that Prof Utuama’s impact on Delta state’s history is undeniable, Rt Hon Guwor extend his deepest sympathies to the family and charged them to find strength in the memories of the remarkable life and service by their father.

The Speaker on behalf of the constituents of Warri South West and the Delta State House of Assembly prayed to God to grant the soul of the late former deputy governor perfect rest.
