The Wife of the Governor of Delta State, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, has declared that the state is poised for divine expansion and increased productivity across all sectors in 2025.

Deaconess Oborevwori made this declaration during the 2025 edition of the Mothers Arise Prayer Conference held at the Government House Chapel, Asaba, on Monday, February 3, 2025.

Speaking on the theme, “Rehoboth” (Genesis 26:23), she expressed confidence that the people of Delta State will be divinely exempted from prevailing challenges as the new year unfolds.

She affirmed that the state would witness the fulfillment of God’s promises, just as He did for Isaac, ushering in an era of peace, fruitfulness, and prosperity.

Deaconess Oborevwori also appreciated the guest speaker, Bishop Dr. Funke Felix-Adejumo, for her inspiring message and remarkable impact, praying that God would continue to use her mightily on a global scale.

She extended her gratitude to the wives of traditional rulers, dedicated women across the state, and all women in Delta State for their presence, urging them to continue praying for the government led by her husband, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the MORE Agenda, and the people of the state.

In her sermon, Bishop Dr. Funke Felix-Adejumo encouraged women to envision their destinies, choose happiness, and maintain discipline in their lives.

She emphasized the importance of mothers praying for their children, especially their firstborns, citing the biblical example of Esau and Jacob in Genesis 27:1.

“You must, as a mother, pray for your children, especially your firstborns. Firstborns are not just born; they are made,” she stressed.

Bishop Adejumo also advised mothers to avoid surrounding themselves with irrelevant influences and instead pray for strategic helpers who will support them in fulfilling their destinies.

She concluded with a powerful call to action, urging women to take charge of their lives, be mindful of their surroundings, and consistently pray for their families and Delta State.

The event featured fervent prayers for families, Governor Oborevwori, the state’s executive, legislators, judiciary, the youth, and for lasting peace in Delta State and Nigeria as a whole.

The prayer conference was graced by dignitaries from within and outside the state, including the former First Lady, Dame Edith Okowa, the wife of the Speaker, Mrs. Timiebi Guwor, wives of government appointees, clergy members, and other distinguished guests.
