The Nigerian Police have expressed desire for peaceful co-existence between other sister agencies in Delta State for a close partnership and cooperation to curb insecurity in the state.
The State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ari Muhammed Ali stated this when he went on a familiarization visit to sister agencies across the state where the need for sister agencies to be on one page with the police was stressed.
The police boss visited the office of the State Director, State Security Service (SSS), Mr. Ademola Adebiyi, the Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), Corps Commander Uche Peter Wihioka, Nigeria Navy Ship, Naval Base Warri, Nigeria Airforce Delta state.
Also visited are the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC), Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), the Nigerian Port Authority (NPA), in warri where he admonished them to continue to work with the police, and ensure that Delta state is safe for all.
Also visited, is the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Asaba, where critical issues were discussed.
He apealed with the Chief Medical Director (CMD), Dr. Victor Osiatuma, to ensure that patient of gunshot injuries were treated before police report, stressing that it is more important to save life.
“After saving life, then the police can be informed for further action, but save life first”, he said.
Meanwhile, on 26th March 2021, the Command organized a sendforth for two immediate past Commissioners of Police in the state.
Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Hafiz M. Inuwa, who is the currently in charge of Zone 13 Dunokofia-Ukpo Anambra state and CP Adeleke Bode Adeyinka, the present CP Kebbi state in recognition of their outstanding leadership and invaluable contributions while serving the state as Commissioners of Police.
It would be recall that CP Adeleke Adeyinka served in Delta state as the 18th Commissioner of police from 6th of February 2019 to 2nd of January 2020 while AIG Hafiz M. Inuwa, served as the 19th Commissioner of police from 2nd of January 2020 to 13th January 2021.
Gift were presented to them by the Command and other well wishers present, the two past Cp expressed their gratitude at the show of love accorded them by the command and the state.
In Attendance were representatives of the state government, Hon. Emaziye Peter and the Chief Judge of the state.
Others present includes, service commanders of the various sister agencies, traditional rulers, President Generals of several communities in the state, the state police management team and many others.
