After the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), suffered a major defeat in the just concluded presidential election in Delta State, the party is currently lobbying the various Obidients groups for the March 11th governorship election, The Story, can authoritatively report.
It was gathered that after the presidential, National and House of Representatives polls, conducted on February 25th, a delegation has been sent to the Obidients to work for the ruling PDP, but have been rejected.
The Leader of Idjere Obidients family, Ogheneseme Ogedegbe, made the revelation on Tuesday February 28th 2023 in Idjere community, Ethiope west local government area of the State.
He insisted that this time around, anybody who wants to be a leader across the country, the youths must evaluate the person to know how prepared he/she is.
“It is not about your money, if you like bring your N100 billion, N50 billion. At least all of them saw how money failed Okowa, just now. Even in Idjere kingdom here, a day to election, they were sharing money, T-shirts but we told them that Obidients, we will not relent and we defeated them in Idjere kingdom.
“We defeated them in Ethiope west local government. Labour Party scored 10, 199 votes in Ethiope west. PDP and APC were nowhere to be found because it is a collective effort of resolute youths of Ethiope west that enough is enough.
“And we will no longer take what they have been offering us and that energy, we are also channeling to the governorship and House of Assembly elections.
“This is not the time for you to steal, embezzle Delta State money and you think that when it is time for election, you dole out money and then you go again and continue the stealing, it is enough, we have passed that stage and the youths have told them that with their votes”, he declared.
He however called on the various Obidients groups to channel their votes to the gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), His Excellency, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON.
“Do you know why I encourage you to vote for Gbagi? It is because this man is an industrialist, he is an employer of labour, a philanthropist, he is a man who have served in government but has no criminal records and he is a man that we can trust”, he said.
Meanwhile, collaborating the assertion of Ogedegbe, Fejiro Oliver, uploaded pictures of a meeting between Ifeanyi Okowa, of Delta State, the PDP governorship candidate, Sheriff Oborevwori, the Senator-elect, Delta North Senatorial District, Prince Ned Nwoko and some PDP leaders in a meeting to lobby Peter Obi followers to sway votes for them.
He said the meeting was held at BON Hotel, Asaba, where plans have been reached to break into their rank and file ahead of March 11th gubernatorial election.

After today’s meeting in Government House, Governor Ifeanyi A. Okowa ordered Ned Nwoko, Sheriff Oborowheri who’s the PDP candidate and other PDP chieftains to go and look for Obidients and beg.
As I type, they are currently meeting in BON Hotel, Asaba.
Ned is begging them not to allow APC disgrace them, that they love the Obidients movement.
