The leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Delta State Council has congratulated the Governor of yhe State Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori on his unimpeachable victory at the apex court in the land.
The Council appreciated the resilience and doggedness of the governor in pursuit of his predetermined ambition to deliver MORE to Deltans.
In a release on Friday January 19th 2023, by the Chairman, Churchill Oyowe and Secretary, Victor Sorokwu, respectively, said: “It is heartwarming to note that the apprehensive sociopolitical atmosphere occasioned by the post election litigations is now relaxed and the seemingly lull in governance and government business would fizzle out.
“We look forward to a more robust and rewarding engagement between the government and the people in line with the MORE agenda of the Sheriff Oborevwori administration.
“In the sportsmanship, we urge the amiable governor to extend sincere olive branch to the opposition and ensure that all genuine efforts geared toward enhanced statecraft are brought to bear on all facets of development for the common good.
“Going forward, the NUJ Delta reiterates its commitment to engage and partner the Oborevwori administration to make Delta the pride among states of the federation.
