In a renewed push to strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Delta North, Ward Chairmen from the district—led by Ossai Jude Ossa of Ika North East Local Government Area, held a high-level strategic meeting with the Senator representing Delta North, Distinguished Senator Ned Munir Nwoko.
The session, which brought together Chairmen from all 98 wards in the senatorial district, provided a crucial platform for engagement between the Senator’s leadership and the party’s foundational grassroots structures.
The atmosphere was characterized by optimism, strategic dialogue, and a shared commitment to deepening the APC’s presence and effectiveness across communities.
Discussions focused on revitalizing the party’s organizational machinery, improving internal coordination, and strengthening the synergy between Senator Nwoko’s legislative and developmental priorities and the mobilization responsibilities of Ward Chairmen.
Participants unanimously agreed that the long-term viability of the party depends on a strong, well-coordinated structure that begins at the ward, the smallest political unit.
In his keynote address, Senator Nwoko commended the Ward Chairmen for their resilience, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to the party.
He emphasized that the ward level remains the engine room of political engagement and the critical interface between the electorate and governance.
According to him, any political party that seeks to remain competitive must continuously invest in its grassroots leadership.
He highlighted that his development agenda for Delta North, which encompasses infrastructure renewal, educational advancement, youth empowerment, and community development, can only achieve full impact with a vibrant ward structure capable of engaging constituents, identifying community needs, and mobilizing broad-based support.
Senator Nwoko urged the Chairmen to remain united, strategic, and forward-looking in strengthening the APC across the senatorial district.
He further reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining open, constructive, and sustained engagement with ward leaders, stressing that their feedback is invaluable in shaping responsive and people-centered governance.
