The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta North Senatorial District, Ogbueishi Adizue Eluaka (JP), has formally dissolved the self-styled “Forum of Delta North APC LGA Chairmen” and the “Forum of APC Ward Chairmen,” describing them as unauthorized and unconstitutional entities operating outside the party’s official framework.
The action follows a recent publication by the disbanded forum which attempted to discredit the widely-supported endorsement of Senator Ned Munir Nwoko for a second term in the Senate.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Eluaka condemned the group’s actions, warning that such unrecognized collectives would no longer be tolerated within the party’s structure.
“We will not sit idly by while a handful of disgruntled and sponsored individuals, hiding under the cloak of an illegal forum, attempt to sow seeds of discord in our party,” Eluaka stated.
“Their conduct is self-serving and entirely inconsistent with the APC’s vision for unity, discipline, and growth.”
Eluaka’s declaration comes on the heels of a well-attended APC stakeholders’ meeting held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Senator Nwoko’s residence in Idumuje-Ugboko.
During the meeting, party leaders and members across the senatorial district unanimously passed a vote of confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and Senator Nwoko.
To reestablish order and internal discipline, Eluaka announced that henceforth, all official interactions with LGA and ward chairmen would be on an individual basis, not through any collective or forum.
He warned that any meeting convened under the banner of the now-dissolved bodies would be considered illegitimate and met with disciplinary consequences.
In a related development, the APC chapter in Aniocha South has disclaimed a separate anti-Nwoko statement attributed to its local chairman, Pastor Norbert Akachukwu Sochukwudinma.
In a release signed by the Publicity Secretary, Prince PC Izediunor, the Aniocha South leadership dissociated itself from the publication, emphasizing that it did not reflect the collective position of the local party executives.
“The statement was issued without proper consultation with our leaders and executive members,” Izediunor stated. “Determining leadership at the senatorial level is beyond our mandate as a local chapter.”
The Aniocha South APC chapter further urged members across Delta North to remain united and focused on party cohesion, reaffirming its commitment to inclusiveness, due process, and the long-term growth of the party.
“Let us focus on strengthening our structures and working together for the collective good of our people,” the statement concluded.
