An Information Officer with the Delta State Ministry of Information, Mr. Chris Enakpodia Okoro has described his birthday as a milestone, adding that he was never used to celebrating his birthdays.
He made this assertion while welcoming friends and well wishers to his private home, venue of the birthday celebration which he marked on Wednesday 21st July, 2021.
According to him, “I grew up in a polygamous environment where we were not known to celebrating birthdays.
“Since growing up, I have always kept my birthdays a low key, but decided this time to extend an invitation to my beloved friends and colleagues to come join me in a prayer session to mark it this year.
“I am happy for the few that came for the prayer session, signifying not just your love for me but your love for God who is the giver of life and all that pertains to life.
“Please, take note that the proper thanksgiving will be done in my church on Sunday, to give reverence to God for all He has done for me and my family”, Mr. Okoro said.
Meanwhile, the one hour prayer session was conducted by Rev. Emmanuel Adagbonyi with supplications made to God for grace to celebrate many more years in good health and prosperity.
Mr. Okoro is a renowned journalist and Information Officer in charge of the Ministry of Information Library. He is popularly known as peace maker by his colleagues within the NUJ circle.
