Delta State Government has assured individuals and groups that have so far made donations to the various Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps across the state of the judicious use of the items.
A statement by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chief Patrick Ukah, said the state government was very much appreciative of their kind gestures which has shown that Deltans and Nigerians in general were indeed their brothers keeper.
He called for more donations from well meaning Deltans and Nigerians to the IDPs camps as it will go a long way in complementing the government’s efforts in assisting the IDPs.
The SSG cautioned the Camp Commandants of the various camps to ensure that the items are well accounted for and judiciously put to use.
