Akpobi, who has not sized pouring encomiums on the family God used to bring him to limelight said: “If you haven’t felt hunger, rejection, stagnation, you won’t appreciate growth and comfort. I don’t get carried away with nomenclatures because it’s a rare privilege, I know what I have been through, where I am coming from, battles I have won behind the scene and where I am going”.
While going through memory lane, Akpobi, appreciated the God-fearing couple for their outstanding touch in his life which has in turn roboff on others around him.
Hear him: “Some years ago this Compassionate, Understanding couples afforded me the rare dignity at my darkest moment, against all odds to elevate from penury, rejection and stagnation, they show me another side of life which now has a ripple effect in my family and community.
“Aside giving me a home away from home they built me a platform that made me discovered myself, they made me an envy among my peers and also a reflection of hope to the hopeless around me .
“They didn’t look at my height, ethnicity, gossips from naysayers or my flaws, so when you see me always talk about them it’s not to show off but to inspire young Nigeria’s with my story and to remind youths that there is so much possibilities in Nigeria by Nigerians for Nigerians if only we create room for people.
“All things been equal, I will be sharing my story to the world as one of the country’s representative in the next United Nations SDG festival holding in Germany later this year.
“My story is a tale that no matter the bleakness, helplessness, just keep pushing and stay prayerful, we serve a God who works in mysterious ways.
“Thank you Mr and Mrs Hilary Ibegbulem”, Akpobi, who is the Executive Director, Not Too Young To Lead Initiative, said.
