The Delta State Government has rescheduled the match fixtures of the ongoing 2024 Zenith Bank/Delta Headmasters’ Cup Football Competition.
In a statement from the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Augustine Oghoro, in Asaba, zonal matches would be played on Tuesday, October 15 and Thursday, October 17, 2024.
The statement said that the adjustment was necessitated to enable the Ministry and the sponsor of the tournament, the Zenith Bank PLC to accommodate the kick off ceremony of the Principals’ Cup on Wednesday, October 16.
It clarified that all other dates and venues for the competition remained valid and commended the Zenith Bank PLC for sustaining the sponsorship of the tournament.
The statement noted that the gesture of the financial institution was commendable and worthy of emulation.
