Delta State Government has donated a Toyota Haice Bus to the Medical Women Association of Nigeria, Delta State Chapter, to enhance their service delivery in the state.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chief Patrick Ukah, on behalf of the state government, presented the bus to the association in his office in Asaba.
Chief Ukah commended the medical doctors for the great job they were doing in the state to ensure that the people of the state receive quality medical attention in a healthy environment and urged them not to relent.
He said the state government would continue to appreciate the heath sector and the security agencies for their contributions towards the progress of the state and thanked them for the vital roles they played during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The SSG later handed over the keys of the bus to the State President of the association and enjoined them to use the vehicle judiciously.
Earlier, the President of the Medical Women Association of Nigeria, Delta State chapter, Dr. Aghogho Benedicta Akpe, thanked the state government for the gesture and assured that the bus would be put to good use.
She commended the governor for his gender friendly disposition and his selfless service for the good of the citizens.
