The Wife of the Delta State Governor and Founder of the You Matter Charity Foundation, Her Excellency Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, has continued the distribution of essential food items under the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) Food Outreach Scheme, an ongoing federal government social investment programme spearheaded by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu (CON).

At a distribution event held Wednesday at Government House, Asaba, Deaconess Oborevwori delivered 3,000 bags of semolina and 2,500 cartons of pasta to 400 households across the state.

The exercise marks the second phase of a previous outreach carried out under the same initiative.

“Some months ago, this programme began on a smaller scale. Today, I am honoured to expand it on behalf of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu,” she said.

She applauded the Renewed Hope Initiative for its far-reaching impact on Nigerians, particularly those in vulnerable conditions, and commended Senator Tinubu for her visionary and compassionate leadership.

“We can all bear witness to the fact that the Renewed Hope Initiative continues to bring real hope to families across Nigeria. Without doubt, this intervention is reaching the grassroots,” she affirmed.

Deaconess Oborevwori also urged the public to continue supporting the initiative with faith and goodwill, expressing hope that the program would further expand to reach more households across Delta State.

“Our sincere prayer is that this empowerment effort continues to touch every doorstep. Let us keep hope alive and expect more from this administration,” she added.

In a goodwill message delivered by the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu, on behalf of the Wife of the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Mrs. Catherine Onyeme, appreciation was extended to Deaconess Oborevwori for fostering a strong collaboration with the President’s wife, which has translated into tangible empowerment for Delta’s vulnerable populations.

Beneficiaries of the outreach, including the visually impaired, persons with disabilities, orphanages, elderly citizens, and others in need, also expressed gratitude to Senator Oluremi Tinubu and Deaconess Oborevwori for what they described as a timely and impactful intervention.

The Renewed Hope Initiative remains a cornerstone of the federal government’s efforts to uplift underserved Nigerians through targeted programs in health, welfare, education, and economic empowerment.
