Delta State Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate Sheriff Oborevwori, has displayed incoherence in the way and manner he responded to questions with Arise Television News presenters.
Oborevwori who is also the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), was brought on air during the platform”s news hour for questioning but performed abysmally while responding to questions put across to him by the duo.
One of the questions he was asked reads: “How do you intend to retain power for the PDP especially looking at those that you are going up against. Your chances really, let’s look at that.
The PDP flag bearer who appeared nervous, unable to articulate and comprehend the question, kept repeating the answer to a previous question whether a former governor of the state, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, is in his camp haven apparently supported Olorogun David Edebvie.
Read his response: “Well like I have said, I know how to reach him. We have been talking, before the primaries like I said I went to his village to consult him and he prayed for me, he prayed for”, laying more emphasis.
Continuing he said: “You know one thing about this politics, what I want to say is that I may not be his choice but with this Supreme Court judgement, I believe that he will accept me as a core party man because it’s PDP and I believe that he will not go against his party”.
The newscaster who felt embarrassed with his response, told him “but Sheriff Oborevwori that was not the question I asked you …
While battling to answer the question, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa’s anointed candidate, said: “Well in PDP, PDP today is a strong party in Delta State and I am somebody that have lived here, I have never travelled out of this state.
“So, the people, I am accessible, acceptable, I am a Pan-Deltan, I am a man with excessive local content and I have a reach to the people and as a head of arm of government, you can see that in all the constituencies, this is a constituencies that I am head of government.
“That I am in charge, that we are working together as one Assembly, so we have a good relationship , I have reached out to all of them we are all working together and I believe that as somebody that they know and the acceptance is organic, our chances is very bright .
“I am with the people here, I have lived with them and I have the wisdom and I have the all it takes. Going round, for me to survive as a Speaker for five years.
“I am somebody that, I am not that kind of a man if I don’t have the capacity, they will not accept me. So, for the house to accept me and these are people who are in the constituencies.
“They are in charge, most of them are in charge of their constituencies and they are very reliable and dependable colleagues . Thay are all canvassing for me, they are all campaigning for me and they also have the people across.
“These are people who have lived for years . I have never left or stay outside this State. So this is a place I have lived and I have reached out to them and I have a reach .
“So we believe that we will do well, PDP is known in the state, we are doing very well. With what the governor has done”.
