DELTA 2023: Groups Endorse Gbagi For Governor

As the race to succeed Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, thickens, candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, has added another feat to his rising teeming supporters as Orators and President-Generals of various communities in Delta Central with support from Isoko Orators have endorsed him for governor come 2023.

The Orators and President Generals who were drawn from different communities, unanimously endorsed Gbagi, saying he has all it takes to govern the state and return it to glory.

They spoke on Monday August 8th 2022, during a meeting to discuss the future of the state, their various communities and operational base at the country home of Olorogun Gbagi, in Oginibo, Ughelli south local government area of the state.

Chief Dr. Joseph Aphia, the National President of Orators, expressed satisfaction with the former minister of State for education, for taking the Bull by the horns to transform the State.

“When the time comes, because of you in the race, we will all come in our full strength to vote for you as governor.

“Truly, from all what you have told us here today, many of us know that you are not the type that lies. I have faith that when you become governor of the state, we are all going to see the dividends of democracy.

“We know that it is God that gives power, however, I want to assure you that we are going to play our part. I can beat my chest that we are going to do our part to ensure that you become governor come 2023.

“We have enjoyed the things you have done as former minister and we are assured that when you assume the office of the governor, we will have more benefits. We will work and you will be sworn-in as governor”, he declared.

Earlier, a female Orator, Mrs. Osayi Adams, appealed to them to work sincerely with open hearts to see that Gbagi, becomes the next governor of the state, saying his plans for Delta youths and his free education policy are coming at a time they were needed most.

Her words: “Gbagi is coming for progress and development. Your children and children yet unborn will have reasons to be happy in their state. Let us sow this seed with one mind so that it can germinate properly.

“As Urhobo Orators, let us come together and spread the good news to others who are not here and our friends. Let us talk to people about this project even those who are getting frustrated with the process. Let keep spreading the name of Gbagi, as the next governor, he has clean hands” she stated.
