Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), in Delta State and former minister of State for education, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, has assured Deltans that he would ensure equity in the distribution of the state resources when he assumes office as governor come 2023.
The largest private industrialist said his administration would ensure that the natural resources are distributed equally to each section of the state rather than accumulate them in the hand of few persons.
Gbagi, in one of his manifestos, “equitable distribution of resources”, said he would not develop one part of the state to the detriment of the other.
He stressed that he already have the idea of what to do and what kind of industry to establish in each local government council that would boost the internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the State.
He emphasized that the state needs someone with entrepreneurial mind to be at the helm of affairs and not mediocre whose interest are to enrich themselves, families and cronies with the common patrimony met for all Deltans.
According to him, “Equitable distribution of resources provides equal rights to all sections of society (rich and poor) to access these resources.
“It prevents the division of society and accumulation of resources in the hands of a few persons. It helps to maintain the continuous flow of resources so that everyone can get their share”, Gbagi added.
