Former minister of State for education and governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Delta State, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, has expressed hope in clinching the governorship seat come 2023.
Gbagi, made the disclosure when he paid a consultative visit to Bishop Hyacinth Egbebo, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese, Ijaw Nation to hint him of his ambition to govern the state.
Bomadi, the headquarter of Bomadi local government area was agog as Gbagi stormed the Ijaw community to sensitize the Church on the need to give massive support and spiritual backing for his quest to give Delta youths emancipation and meaningfully engaged them with government resources come 2023.
The largest private investor in the state was given a rousing welcome as other Catholic priests who lifted his ambition to govern the state to God in prayers.
Gbagi, who was taken aback with the show of love, said: “It is unbelievable, the love, the prayer and the encouragement that we should go and win the 2023 election, that we have his full blessing.
“I am confident, given the prayers of the Bishop that there is light at the end of the tunnel”, Gbagi declared.
Elated Gbagi whose soul was lifted by the ecclesiastical support, gave thanks to God.
