The decampees were received on Thursday August 31st 2022, after a prayer session tagged Hon. Kenneth Gbagi/SDP Presidential Prayer and Interactive Session held at the Unity Hall, Issele-Uku, Aniocha north local government area of the state.

The interdenominational prayer session was attended by a mammoth crowd of PDP and APC supporters and executive members.

Announcing their defection from the PDP and APC, they said the sterling leadership qualities of the presidential candidate, Prince Adewole Adebayo and the governorship candidate, the State, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi and internal democracy in the party influenced them to join the SDP.

According to them they were tired of the deceit in PDP, hunger, kidnapping, raping of their mothers and daughters in the farm by Fulani herdsmen because of the bad APC government at the federal level.

‘We joined SDP because we believe in the good leadership of our incoming governor and president, the assurances they have given us and how they want to control and revamp the economy of the state and country”.

Earlier, the presidential and governorship candidates, Prince Adebayo and Olorogun Gbagi, called on the mammoth crowd to support SDP for development, justice and prosperity for the nation and the entire State come 2023.
