The leadership of Oshimili South Local Government Area of Delta State has dissolved all commissioned revenue committees as well as revenue bits and points.
This was contained in an official memo numbered AD. 832/T/367, dated 10th January, 2022 and signed by Hon. Iyeh Brendan .C, Secretary to the local government, Oshimili South LGA.
This dissolution directive, according to the council’s official memo, is with immediate effect.
Oshimili South LGA authorities had also charged all revenue committee Chairmen as well as those in charge of various revenue bits and points to handover all government properties in their possession to the council’s secretary with immediate effect, from the date of this public announcement, being 10th January, 2022.
Oshimili South council authorities ceased same opportunity to urge the public to desist from any transactions with members of all these dissolved revenue committees, revenue bits and points and be guided accordingly.
When our reporter asked the council’s secretary reasons behind this dissolution, he pointed out, it is only normal and official that every year, the council does dissolve all revenue committees, take stocks of what had being done so far and open the windows for another round of applications for revenue bits and points.
