The Children’s Golf Holiday Clinic officially teed off on Monday, September 1, 2025, at the Ibori Golf and Country Club (IGCC), Asaba, drawing dozens of eager participants aged 7 to 15 for a three-day program.

Running through September 3, the clinic is designed to introduce children to the fundamentals of golf while instilling values of patience, discipline, and focus.

The initiative enjoys strong backing from the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency (DSCTDA), underscoring the agency’s commitment to youth development and community enrichment through sports.

In their remarks, IGCC officials highlighted the importance of the program in nurturing young talents and shaping character.

“Beyond recreation, sports instill discipline and confidence, which are essential for the next generation,” the organizers noted, adding that the clinic aligns with DSCTDA’s vision of fostering a healthier and more vibrant capital territory.

The DSCTDA has remained consistent in rolling out initiatives that enhance quality of life in Asaba. The golf holiday clinic further reflects its role in promoting youth empowerment and strengthening community well-being.

Sessions continue on September 2 and 3, beginning at 8 a.m. daily at the IGCC.
