Chief Ethe Supervises Ozoro Dumpsite Clean-Up, Strengthens Collaboration With PSP Isoko Branch

The Member representing Delta South on the Delta State Waste Management Board, Chief (Mrs.) Hon. Juliet Enifome Ethe, personally supervised the recent comprehensive clean-up exercise at the Ozoro dumpsite, reaffirming the Board’s commitment to environmental sustainability and public health protection.

The sanitation operation, carried out on Wednesday February 11, 2026, in collaboration with Private Sector Participants (PSPs), Isoko Branch, forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance waste management efficiency and maintain acceptable environmental standards across Delta South.

Speaking during the exercise, Chief Ethe emphasized the importance of proactive supervision and strategic partnerships in addressing sanitation challenges.

She noted that the collaboration with the PSP Isoko Branch demonstrates the Board’s inclusive approach to ensuring cleaner communities under the watch of its Chairman, Hon. Matthew Mofe Edema.

“Our partnership with the Private Sector Participants in Isoko is yielding positive results.

“By working together, we are able to improve waste evacuation, maintain our dumpsites effectively, and safeguard the health of our people,” she stated.

She further explained that sustained monitoring and hands-on supervision are critical to achieving long-term environmental goals, especially as the rainy season approaches.

Chief Ethe also called on residents of Ozoro and surrounding communities to support government efforts by adopting responsible waste disposal practices, stressing that environmental sanitation remains a shared responsibility.
